The Massachusetts Senior Care Association recognized SALMON Health and Retirement CEO Matt Salmon at their annual meeting on November 14, 2019 for his work and advocacy on behalf of senior care in Massachusetts.
For the past two years, Salmon has served as chairman of the MA Senior Care Board of Directors, a role he officially retired from at the event.
While being sworn in as the new chairman, Thomas Lavallee recognized his predecessor for “his extraordinary leadership and hard work as chair of our board for the past two years. Thank you for your dedication to our industry and your confidence in me to carry the baton. When you take on this role you commit to working and supporting all members, and personal priorities sometimes need to be put aside for the greater good. You handled this balancing act with composure and discipline at a time when the industry has never been as tested as it is now. On behalf of the board of directors and members, thank you, Matt, for everything you have done for our association. “
Several SALMON Health and Retirement representatives from the organization’s eight campuses also attended to honor their CEO and participate in the day’s events, which included discussions about the state of senior living in Massachusetts and a trade show.
