These communities are often action-oriented, independent communities, with private apartments allowing pets and with recreation and amenities, including: walking trails, entertainment and programs, libraries, bank branches, fine dining, etc.
“There really is so much to offer today,” according to the video. “There’s so much diversity in the community in terms of activity and people you’ll meet that, quite frankly, you’re not moving out of anything, you’re really moving into something.”
Visit several communities:
Prior to moving into a senior living community, be sure to visit several to get a full picture of where you or your loved one would be most comfortable. Be sure to consider all factors including costs, style, staff, activities, services, etc. when making your decision.
Seek help:
Don’t feel like you need to spearhead the process entirely. Hiring experts such as elder law attorneys, contractors, home health care assistants and senior move managers during the process can make a smoother transition.
